North Wales Days Out & Events was created by me, Katie – a local mum who knows how frustrating it can be trying to find things to do in North Wales without endlessly scrolling through outdated websites and random social posts.

NWDOE is a growing local platform designed to help people easily discover days out, local events, family-friendly activities, walks, places to eat, attractions, and hidden gems across North Wales – all in one place. Whether you’re looking for something to do with children, a pram-friendly walk, an accessible day out, or a last-minute local event, the aim is to make planning your day simple and stress-free.

“The idea came from my own experiences as a new mum. I once took my son on a ‘pram-accessible’ walk that turned out to be thick mud and a bumpy wooden bridge – not exactly pushchair-friendly! That’s when I realised how hard it is for families to find genuinely suitable places to go.
I wanted to create a platform for local people, just like me, where you can filter activities and places by what actually matters to you – including pram-friendly routes, wheelchair accessibility, child-friendly venues, parking, opening days, and more. That way, you can choose places that fit your needs before you even leave the house.”

In a world full of ads and paid placements, North Wales Days Out & Events is ad-free. Businesses don’t pay for priority listings or targeted ads, meaning every listing gets equal visibility. The goal is to help local people find the right places for them – not the businesses with the biggest marketing budgets.

At its heart, NWDOE exists to:

Support and promote local businesses and community venues
Encourage people to explore and enjoy the area they live in

This platform is built for the people of North Wales – by someone who lives here, explores here, and understands the everyday challenges of planning days out with kids in tow.
